New 500 kW Rooftop System Will Produce 750,000+ kWh Annually: Solar-Powered Facility Produces World’s First Nailable Solar Shingle

SAN JOSE, CalifFeb. 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — GAF Energy, a Standard Industries company and the leading provider of solar roofing in North America, has installed a 500 kilowatt solar system on the roof of the company’s R&D and manufacturing center in San Jose. The new system will generate more than 750,000 kilowatt hours of solar energy at the 112,000 square-foot facility which produces the company’s award winning solar roof, Timberline Solar . Introduced a year ago, Timberline Solar™ features the world’s first nailable solar shingle and is the only roof system to directly integrate solar technology into traditional roofing processes and materials.
