Michael brings the tools of capital markets and finance to create rooftop solar projects. He has been in solar for seven years, originally as Chief Investment Officer of Sol-Wind, which was owned by Standard Industries, and then evolving into a focus on rooftop solar under GAF Energy. Prior to working in solar, he held innovative finance roles across a spectrum of institutions including Microsoft, JPMorgan, and Intellectual Ventures, as well as principal fiduciary roles at a hedge fund and financial advisor. He holds a BA in Mathematics from Harvard University, and spent several years as a math graduate student at the University of Washington studying inverse problems associated with the Schroedinger equation. His favorite roof is the one he helped build on his parent’s house a long long time ago.
