Watch GAF Energy featured in Idea House: Mountain Modern

“From a practical installing standpoint for roofers, they don’t really have to learn anything new. And I love how it all integrates and it’s really clean. You’re not driving these lags in your roof, which is the last thing you want to do when you’re building a new house.”

Water-shedding and warranted

Timberline Solar™ is made up of shingles, not panels or heavy tiles. These shingles are water-shedding, strong and warranted to withstand winds up to 130 mph. Rack-mounted solar installations—where the solar is separate from the roof–require the drilling of dozens of holes into the roof membrane. Any resulting damage related to those holes is not typically covered by roof warranties.

For homeowners who already know the quality of GAF roofing products, the Timberline Solar™ roof has the same wind and water-shedding warranty coverage as Timberline HD.

Installation on the Idea House

The GAF Energy team is thrilled to be a part of The Roku Channel series, Idea House: Mountain Modern Season 1 episode 8, titled “Mountain Energy.” This series follows the building process of a lovely custom home 25 miles southwest of Denver, Colorado. Learn more about our episode on our blog.

“One of the phenomenal things about the Timberline Solar system is the ease at which everyone can learn to install it. This is without a doubt the first solar product that was essentially built for roofers, and it is designed and manufactured right here in the United States.”
