The federal solar incentive (ITC) enabled millions of home and business owners to cost-effectively install solar roofs, save money on their utility bills, and reduce carbon emissions. Greater adoption of solar over the past decade inspired rapid innovation in integrated solar roofing technologies – that are currently not included in the ITC basis, first enacted back in 2006.
